🏊How Lessons I'm Learning for My 19 Mile Swim in the Hudson River Can Help You Win with Programmatic Media🏆
Enjoy and learn from my colleague, Shane Stender 🌊
"As many of you know, I am one of those people who enjoys a challenge.
After participating in multiple Ironman events, there was something quite different that showed up on my radar.
🏊A swim.
🏊🏊A Big Swim.
🏊🏊🏊A 19 MILE swim on the Hudson River to be exact!
Have I swam before? Yes✅
Am I a decent swimmer? Sure🤷♂️
🤔But do I currently have the skills needed for a swim of this magnitude where tides, temperature, duration, a team, a greater financial contribution and 100s of hours of training were all going to be required if I even had a chance?
❌Absolutely not.
Yet, I still wanted to explore it further.
As with any new challenge, I quickly dove in to the deep end of the pool to learn more about what I already had seen and uncover the unknown.
🎙️As I prepared to teach Programmatic Media to our Dealers, it occurred to me there were powerful correlations in these effort. And my Dealer friends didn't have to get wet!
💸Our Dealer Partners have been advertising, most likely into the millions of dollars over time for many year. Yet, for all of their experience, this new platform requires deeper training, much like my 19 mile swim.
📈I decided to share the 4 step 'AIDE method' I learned to help me move forward, faster and intentionally whether I'm training or learning how I can help my company and our clients with something new.
🎯Awareness: You have to know something even exists. Stay alert!
🎯Intention: You have to commit to continuously expanding and deepening your knowledge to equip you for conversations with your team and vendors.
🎯Discovery: Ask for or locate resources you can trust to learn more, with increased accuracy and clarity. Also seek to know where, when and how this will help you and your clients.
🎯Expectations: Now that you have learned more, set timelines and milestones for how you will deliver on your new knowledge of PM or any topic.
That's our AIDE method? Not too hard, right?!
Now that I've given you this platform to get started, you're ready for the next step:
👉Part 2: Risks and Rewards
Thanks for joining me on my journey and if you're planning to attend David Kain's Clients and Friends in Lexington, KY I will see you there.
In the meantime, follow me and watch for Part 2 of our 3-part series on Winning with Programmatic Media."
