On Artificial Ownership:
Taking responsibility for things outside of what your job requires that offer no recognition or compensation, yet drain you of needed resources to your 'real' work where you are recognized, appreciated and rewarded.
Being helpful is fantastic. Taking on added responsibilities devoid of authority, autonomy and influence are a trap to avoid.
Just say, "No, thank you!"
