On 'Passionate' Employees.
At FORWARD, one of our coined phrases and philosophies is 'WorkLife Harmony'.

'Balance' can easily suggest too much juggling, teetering and measuring. We believe 'Harmony' generates a seamless and enjoyable integration of the At Work and At Home lives of a talented player.

When we hear the word passion from our clients, we always press into this to learn what this means to them...and why this particular word choice.

We often find they feel it is an embedded, unspoken expectation or that saying they are 'passionate' out loud indicates or improves heirarchy.

I snipped this piece of the Harvard Business Review article for those readers who are in Leadership and for those who might be experiencing passion fatigue or burnout.

"Recently, The World Health Organization (WHO) included burnout in its International Classification of Diseases, IDC-11, claiming that it “refers specifically to phenomena in the occupational context…a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed…”

The WHO noted that the syndrome was characterized by three dimensions:
👉1) feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion;
👉2) increased mental distance from one’s job, or feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one’s job; and
👉3) reduced professional efficacy."

The real lives of our People are more important than ever.

We are pleased to be able to help, especially in an industry which is in dire need of growth in these arenas.
