There are still companies who believe people are willing to work for very low salaries with a hope of reaping a reward somewhere..
In the meantime, their personal and financial lives suffer. And slowly but certainly, the smallest opportunity to have a fair amount of free time or some financial breathing room looks better to them... And they leave.
Quietly, nicely but certainly, one after one they leave.
I've heard the owners say, but they were so close... No, actually, you were so close.
The failure was yours not theirs.
Suddenly, all of the effort you put in to preparing them. for this great big role with a great big payoff is gone. And you're forced to start from the very beginning yet again.
When you're ready to stop, this cycle and get onto a plan which is at once, appealing to top talent and profitable for you let us know.
Or keep investing hundreds of thousands of dollars with each of these turns without receiving the ultimate payoffs for you and your company.
Having high standards is perfectly fine.
Holding people to extraordinarily high standards without compensating fairly is not.
Those same high standards and expectations need to be bi-directional.

On Appreciation
Three Referrals in 24 hours.
Plus one new prospective client from a colleague I have known and admired.
I had envisioned this when I launched, but even as my special, niche company grows, I am still struck with gratitude.
Referrals from clients are earned by doing.
Not by talking or selling.
Colleagues rarely will reach out until they have proof. Frankly, I'm the same way.
They are now seeing the proof they were waiting for and they're calling.
These are things I learned after I began building these companies 4.5 years ago now.
FSG is now headed towards 5 years. FORWARD is almost 1.
Starting out alone is a feat most don't begin out of fear or a myriad of reasons.
But mostly fear.
While in reality I have nothing to prove to myself, the farther I go, the more I want to prove, share, offer.
It is out of 'lack' and 'scarcity' of trustworthy partners and professional women in leadership I started this journey.
I wanted to make a difference.
Now, I want to make a bigger impact, for as many as possible.
How?
We're working all of that out. With any luck bigger things are coming.

On 'Passionate' Employees.
At FORWARD, one of our coined phrases and philosophies is 'WorkLife Harmony'.

The WHO noted that the syndrome was characterized by three dimensions:

👉2) increased mental distance from one’s job, or feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one’s job; and
👉3) reduced professional efficacy."
